the WHYS of what we do
Women wrapped in yards of fabric dyed bright as butterfly wings. Dusty, hungry children wearing nothing but a single string around their waists. The stink of burning garbage. The wonderful, spicy smell of breakfast being whipped up at a streetside stall. The constant screech of traffic and the haunting melody of the call to prayer...India is chaotic, crowded, and colorful. The vibrant culture is steeped in ancient tradition, and everything has its place and purpose. Orderly in a complicated way, but so lacking in space and privacy, India's clothes are out to dry where everyone can see them. Countless colors hang in an already hectic landscape--a laundry masala that reflects the beautiful insanity that is India.
